The Vista Townsite Community Partnership (VTCP) was founded in 1996 under the name of the Vista Townsite Area Partnership (VTAP). VTAP was a coalition of the Townsite residents, social services agencies, the City of Vista’s Redevelopment and Housing Department, the Parks and Recreation Department, the Vista School District, and the Sheriff’s Department. In its short existence, the VTAP was very active, completing many projects that contributed to an improved quality of life in the Townsite and greater North Vista community.
In October 1998, VTAP received its 501 (c) 3 nonprofit status and evolved into a formalized agency. Our new name became the Vista Townsite Community Partnership, and today we are commonly referred to as “VTCP” a community based development organization.
VTCP is funded in part by the Community Development Block Grant from the City of Vista, San Diego County Supervisor Horn Community Enhancement Program, Cal State San Marcos, National Latino Resource Center, Vista Community Clinic and other sponsors.
